ZB32 & ZB50 MODELS

Insight into machine capabilities:

The machines have two cam spindles, the smaller is for even fluted tools and the Larger is for odd fluted tools.

Function of standard cams supplied:

No 4 - Standard drill point grinding and self-centring points (such as the four-facet point) and also two flute countersinks.

No 6 – Used to relieve the shoulders on 2-flute step drills, (sometimes-called pilot drills) and also two flute countersinks.

No 8 – Used to grind relief on 4-flute core drills, taps and countersinks.

*Split-point grinding will require the optional CBN wheel for point splitting and point grinding along with the standard No 4 cam.

Special optional cams:

Cam for 1-flute - single flute countersink relief.

Cam for 3-flutes - three flute core drills, taps and countersinks relief.

Cam for 5-flute - five flute taps, countersinks and reamer relief.

Cam for sheet metal points – This can basically transform a standard drill or regrind a special geometry to suit sheet metal drilling.

Cam for spiral points - Another self-centring point useful and essential if a machine is sold into the structural steel industry.

Cam for left-hand drills – two flute left-hand drill point grinding.
